Steel Armoured Joints are used for protecting construction joints against spalling or breaking. Heavy duty applications on jointed floors with saw cuts and joint-less SFRC or mesh reinforced ground bearing slabs. The joint assembly consist of plate dowels fixed at 500mm Centre to Centre. It can perform well up to 30 mm joint opening, even at this wide opening of joints 60 mm of the dowel remains embedded in concrete on the free movement side so larger joint openings may be accommodated. This ensures smooth and even load transfer across the floor panels.
